As you know the World Bank has cancelled its conference, but we certainly have not cancelled ours: their policies are more than ever a concern for us, as are all those of the globalization agents. The programme we have for 22 and 23. June is maintained, but with a more festive note. Friday and Saturday, the "counter-conference" (with participants from Latin america, maghreb etc. and a few celebrities such as Samir Amin and Susan george), Saturday evening, the Summer Party, Sunday, a large and unitary demonstration followed by a People's Tribunal where the World Bank and its allies will be judged (with witnesses from the MST movement, the Zapatist movement, immigrant communities in Spain - among others...), and then a big party again in front of the Stock exchange... before more direct action on the Monday morning. If you are planning to come, there are camping sites at a very cheap price and a few places like colleges and sportscentres. We are also planning buses from Paris, and if it proves necessary from Lyon: this is why we need to know if you are coming, how many of you there are, when you plan to travel, and if you would consider travelling via one of these two cities, so that we can organise the buses. Chers amis militants
Comme vous le savez, la Banque Mondiale a annulé sa Conférence, mais ce n'est pas notre cas: ses politiques et leurs effets désastreux sont toujours à l'ordre du jour. Notre programme pour les 22 et 23 Juin est donc maintenu, avec une note de fète en plus. le vendredi et le samedi, c'est la "contre-conférence" (avec des participants d'Amérique Latine, du Maghreb, et quelques célébrités de l'anti-globalisation libérale comme Samir Amin et Susan George), le samedi soir, une Fête du solstice d'été, le dimanche, c'est la manifestation unitaire, suivie d'un Tribunal Populaire où la Banque sera au banc des accusés (avec quelques autres) et où nous pourrons compter avec des témoins du MST, zapatistes, et des groupes immigrants d'ici, entre autres. Puis ce sera le picnic devant la Bourse et encore la Fête, avec quelques actions directes prévues le lendemain. Plus d'infos sur www.rosadefoc.org.
Si vous pensez venir, il y a des campings pas chers reservés pour nous et quelques collèges et gymnases prêts à vous accueillir. Nous pensons également organiser des bus depuis Paris et peut-ètre Lyon en fonction des demandes. C'est pourquoi nous avons besoin de savoir très rapidement si vous pensez venir, à combien, quel jour vous arriveriez, et si vous souhaiteriez passer par un transport collectif depuis Paris ou Lyon.
